Known for being a must-stop in the spring for Snohomish gardeners, Flower World in Maltby is also a wonderful outing for the animal-lovers in your crew. Parklike surroundings are filled with plants, trees, and shrubs of every gardener’s delight. Walking paths lead wanderers around a fountain and ponds containing ducks and geese. Adjacent is the Produce Market, where kids can pet goats, marvel at a peacock, and visit sheep or alpacas.
While there, stock up on rainbow eggs from the free-roaming flock on the premises or pick up freezer jam for breakfast. Don’t leave without picking up a bottle of wine made from local fruit. Before heading home, take the three-minute drive down the road to enjoy a giant cinnamon roll and steaming cup of coffee at the charming Maltby Café.
