Dig out your swimsuit and enjoy an afternoon of water and fun at Snohomish Aquatic Center in downtown Snohomish. Try surfing on the FlowRider, which simulates the perfect year-round ocean wave. Soar down the waterslides, float the lazy river, or relax in the hot tub.

Perfect for families, the Snohomish Aquatic Center offers classes in swim and dive for a variety of ages. It is also the ideal spot for the littles, featuring a zero-entry pool with fun fountains and smaller slides to enjoy. After working up an appetite, wrap up your afternoon with a Pacific Northwest-inspired dinner at the Trails End Taphouse and Restaurant located right across the street.

If you are ready to try something new or dream of honing your mountaineering skills in the comfort and warmth of the indoors, Vertical World is the perfect outing for you. Founded in 1987 on Elliot Avenue in Seattle, the beginnings of Vertical World were humble. Rocks simply glued to walls allowed mountain climbers to practice out of the elements. Decades later, the company expanded to a secondary location in Lynnwood, which features a variety of mountain climbing experiences for practicing skills or creating new ones.

With safety in mind for all ability levels, Vertical World offers parent and me classes for the littles, bouldering workshops, summer camps, and memberships to pop on by for more regular practice. Highly trained staff are also able to accommodate large groups. Vertical World is a wonderful place for a scout troop, birthday party, or corporate event.

Between jump sessions, refresh yourself at the café and play a few rounds of mini golf or spend some time at the arcade. Featuring 24 bowling lanes and an entire rink of roller skating, this is the perfect place to spend an active afternoon. Full restaurant and bar service is available, or you can grab a slushie and some fries to refuel your fun. Check the calendar before heading out, as this is a popular place for school skate sessions. Lessons and event packages are available. A fun, energetic vibe will get you through warmer weather.
